Dave’s Gourmet Insanity Ghost Pepper Salsa Review

Dave's Ghost Pepper Salsa with Chips

Today we are reviewing Dave’s Gourmet Insanity Ghost Pepper Salsa. The label for this salsa calls out a heat level of Insane ++. Made with both Ghost Peppers and Jalapeno Peppers this is Dave’s newest salsa in the marketplace.

If you’ve read any of our posts you have probably noticed that we’ve reviewed a few of Dave’s Gourmet sauces, but for those not familiar with the history Dave’s Gourmet it was started by Dave Hirschkop while he owned a small restaurant and bar. Dave realized that giving “drunk” patrons very hot foods tended to “quite them down“.

As a result, Mr. Hirschkop eventually created Dave’s Insanity Sauce and now Dave’s Gourmet is a widely known name in the fiery foods world.

Dave's Ghost Pepper Salsa

This is a 16 oz jar and from the label, ingredients include water, tomatoes, Naga Jolokia Peppers (Ghost Peppers), tomato paste, onions, Jalapeno Peppers, starch, salt, sugar, garlic, cilantro, ascorbic acid and citric acid.

On opening this salsa you will definitely smell the aroma of the Ghost Peppers. Texture is somewhat thick, but pureed and not chunky like a garden salsa (no doubt the thickness is from the starch ingredient).

For all the details please see our Dave’s Gourmet Insanity Ghost Pepper Salsa Video Review below.

This salsa is definitely hot. If you or someone you know is looking for a salsa that is much hotter than your typical restaurant or “grocery store” type salsa then you will definitely want to try Dave’s Ghost Pepper Salsa.
